I've had both the old and the new recipe for BBQ Pork sliders. Personally, I do not care for apples, especially Granny Smith apples, so I do not use them in the recipe. I am in agreement with previous reviews that the BBQ pork was too sweet in the old recipe and is still too sweet in the new recipe. The major difference I noted between the old and the new recipe was that the amount of BBQ pork appeared to be doubled in the new recipe. I agree with another review that there is too much mayonnaise sauce for the coleslaw. The first time I had this recipe, I enjoyed the recipe's concept so much that I have purchased bulk BBQ pork, made my own coleslaw, and packaged the combo on small slider buns from another source. Please make the BBQ pork less sweet and include more vegetables for the given amount of mayonnaise sauce.
The sliders were tasty, however, portions were off-balance. Way too much mayonnaise and not enough pulled pork. I only had enough for four sliders instead of two.
First I hate I can’t read reviews until I scan a recipe.
Pork portion too small. A tad too sweet.
Slaw had way too much Mayo. Was sent an avocado instead of an apple but had one on hand. Apple added nothing to the dish. Warm times on buns off
Dish really could have used acid. Like a pickled onions. Or a non mayo slaw
I’m with the majority here; not enough pork to make 6 sliders unless you allowed 1 tsp of pork to each bun. It’s like the slaw and pork portions should have been reversed. But they were tasty. Would order again if portions are corrected
This was overall fine but the pork was a bit too sweet and there was too much mayo. The flavors didn’t really come together for me. Wouldn’t go out of my way to order again!
